Fall Retreat in Puglia with Joan Hyman
Boutique yoga, Italian living, and the luxury of slowing down
in one of the most beautiful corners of Southern Italy.
October 23–29, 2027 · Valle d’Itria, Puglia
Limited to 18 participants
A week to practice, explore, and slow down
Join Joan Hyman and Soul Spark Retreats for an unforgettable week in the heart of Southern Italy. Set among ancient olive groves, rolling countryside, and charming whitewashed villages, this boutique retreat brings together exceptional yoga teaching, authentic Italian culture, thoughtfully curated experiences, beautiful accommodation, and the simple luxury of slowing down.
Our home for the week is La Rosa dei 4 Venti — one of Italy’s most beloved retreat properties. Surrounded by nature and timeless beauty, we’ll gather for daily yoga and meditation, enjoy exceptional Mediterranean cuisine, explore the treasures of Puglia, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Limited to just 18 participants, this retreat offers an intimate and personal experience where genuine connection, individual attention, and a real sense of community can naturally unfold.
This is not about doing more. It is about being more — and giving yourself the space to feel it.
One of Italy’s most enchanting regions
Nestled in the heel of Italy’s boot, Puglia is a region that rewards those who slow down. Known for its whitewashed villages, endless olive groves, crystal-clear coastline, and extraordinary food culture, it offers a quieter, more relaxed side of Italy — away from the better-known tourist trails. October is one of the most beautiful times to visit. The summer crowds have faded, the temperatures stay pleasantly warm, and the region settles into a more relaxed rhythm. Mornings begin with the aroma of fresh espresso, afternoons invite exploration or rest beneath the olive trees, and evenings are spent sharing long meals under golden Mediterranean skies.

Exceptional teaching, for every level
At the heart of this retreat is the opportunity to study with internationally respected yoga teacher Joan Hyman. Known for her intelligent sequencing, compassionate teaching style, and deep understanding of yoga philosophy, Joan creates practices that are both transformative and accessible.
Each day opens with an energizing morning Vinyasa flow to awaken the body, and closes with a gentle evening practice — restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation — to unwind and integrate. Across the week we’ll explore dynamic movement, breathwork, restorative practice, and mindful self-inquiry. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or a dedicated student looking to deepen your understanding, the retreat offers space for both growth and restoration. All levels are warmly welcome.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
Paula K
My husband and I have been on two retreats with Joan — in Austria and Sardinia. Joan has created a beautiful international yoga community, and her retreats always attract the most kind and beautiful people. The perfect balance of yoga, activities, and your own time. The food and the retreat centres are always excellent. A yoga retreat with Joan is most definitely a treat your future self will thank you for.
Susanne D
Two weeks of amazing yoga, inspiring discussions, and time with a like-minded international community. We started each day with Joan, who has always been a special teacher for me — being in her classes feels deeply familiar, yet there is always something
new to learn. I am deeply touched by how, in just two weeks, strangers become friends and form a real bond.”
Lilly C
An exceptional trip. I knew the yoga would be first-class, because Joan is a thoughtful, intelligent teacher — I always appreciate her sequencing and instruction. The retreat centre was beautiful, my room was comfortable, and I really appreciated the food and the
kindness of the staff.

Joan Hyman and Tina Schmelzer are amazing. The yoga was incomparable, and Tinaran everything with precision, patience and warmth.
